TSA Philadelphia envisions The Mutability of Time, as a conversation about our perception of time, human connection, and temporal experience. Events of the past year which required us to quarantine and socially isolate ourselves from others have disrupted our individual and collective sense of time. In this warp, time speeds up, slows down, and stands still all the while barrelling forward.
The Mutability of Time brings artists in Philadelphia to Berlin, two cities separated by an ocean but connected via the bizarre experience of sheltering in a global pandemic. In this collaboration, artists will reveal the myriad ways of experiencing trauma, loss, joy and triumph through selected works from members Alexis Granwell, Amy Lee Ketchum, Duwenavue Santé Johnson, Emilio Maldonado, Greyory Blake, Kara Mshinda, Mary Henderson, Megan Biddle, Nichola Kinch, Samantha Mitchell, and Terri Saulin presented in collaboration with Schau Fenster Gallery.
